2015 Duathlon Schedule:
   2/28/15 - Duathlon-Great Western Loop - long course CANCELLED.
   3/7/15 - Duathlon-South Bay
   4/18/15 - Duathlon-Pine Valley

Next Duathlon:  : March 7th

Time: 7:30am (we start this 30min later because we have to wait for the city to open the gate to the parking lot we use for transition)

Location: Lower Otay Lake Boat Launch Parking Lot

Set up: 6:00am - 7:30am

Event: 8:00-9:15am
Clean Up: 9:15-9:45am


Directions:  Take 805 south.  Exit Orange Ave/Olympic Pkwy and head east.  Continue east until you pass the Olympic Training Center on your right.  Make a right at the first stoplight past the training center which is Wueste Rd.  Take Wueste until you see the turn in for the boat launch on your left.  Once you turn into the parking lot, make a left.  We'll be in the northern portion of the lot.  (Please note that the parking lot does not open until sunrise, approx. 6:25am)


The Course

Run:  The run is an approx. 2 mile course that will take you on an out and back course.  It is comprised of groomed trail.  Since this is a run/bike/run event, you'll be doing this once to begin the race, and once after the bike portion.

Bike:  The bike course is an approx. 12 miles out and back course, heading out and around the northern portion of the lake.  Participants will head out approx. 6mi. to a turnaround at the driveway to John Nichols Air Field, home of Skydive San Diego.  Everyone will make the turn and come back along the same roads as they went out on.

**Please remember:  This is not a closed course.  Although it is early and traffic will be minimal, there will still be cars on the road.  Use good judgment when making turns, stopping, and passing.  Helmets are absolutely mandatory.  No iPods or headphones are allowed during the ride**
